The Leslie Arenson Breast Cancer Research Foundation

Leslie Arenson would have been 40 on October 8,2022. Leslie was a treasure to her father and their family. She was an eternal optimist who was a distinguished attorney, avid athlete running marathons, playing softball, volleyball and soccer, and loved worldwide adventures and country concerts. Leslie held tightly onto the “Rope to Hope” when diagnosed with breast cancer, never giving up on a cure and miracles.

The Leslie Arenson Breast Cancer Research Foundation is generating funds to help Dr. Nancy Lin from the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, bring cures and hopes to others as they fight this horrid disease. Even today, patients with Leslie’s disease are being successfully treated. Breast cancer affects many people we all know.

The Rythmic Arts Project

(TRAP) educates individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities as well as typical young children, by embracing a unique methodology that encompasses rhythm as a modality to address basic life and learning skills as well as reading, writing, and arithmetic. TRAP provides its students with the tools and confidence needed to succeed in the world.

By listening to the individual as part of our approach, we practice person-centered principles in everything we do. We develop lesson plans to address the individual needs of each student in every class. We base our methods on evidence and teamwork by meeting often and effectively. We ask our students what they would like to accomplish and then guide them in an Appropriate Path to Success. We rely on relationships rather than strict rules. This educational program is the perfect mix of educational objectives and artistic experiences. It is designed to be fun and engaging but also helps develop an increased mastery of coordination, concentration, and educational accomplishment.
